OneBlood is accepting blood donations for the victims of the Florida high school shooting---specifically for O negative blood.

The local blood center in Florida responded immediately to the deadly shooting that happened at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, by rushing blood to Broward health North Hospital an Broward county Medical Center.

O negative blood is the universal blood type and is often used to treat trauma patients.

OneBlood is asking for eligible O negative donors to visit a donor center or Big Red Bus blood drive to donate.

Appointments can be made online at oneblood.org
