Forever 21's St. Johns Town Center location set to close

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Forever 21 is nestled between popular local eateries and other prominent stores in the St. Johns Town Center.

“It gives people options and it's central to everything,” said shopper Cherryle Reed.

Neighbors say it's a great spot to walk to, with prices even college students on a budget can afford.

“They're like trendy clothes that aren't expensive like other stores,” said Gloria Clarizio.

Tuesday, Action News Jax learned Forever 21 will soon no longer be there.

The store is closing down, which is a shock to many who know just how popular the store is.

“That's surprising to hear. I didn't think anything would be closing in the Town Center with how much business it gets,” said Clarizio.

Employees said they couldn't tell us when they will be closing or what will happen with their jobs.

Action News Jax reached out to the store's corporate offices and to the store here in Town Center to ask why it's closing. Neither could comment.

Forever 21's location in The Avenues Mall will remain open.
