JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A SUV driver was killed Thursday night after striking a disabled truck on southbound Interstate 95 near 8th Street.
The Florida Highway Patrol said a Chevy truck was disabled in I-95's left emergency lane near mile marker 353. Two men, ages 24 and 23, were in the truck.
A Chevy SUV was traveling in the inside southbound lane and its left side collided with the right side of the truck, the FHP said.

The Chevy SUV flipped and came to rest on its roof. FHP said the driver of the SUV, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected.
The driver who was killed has not yet been identified by authorities.
At one point, the crash had all of I-95 in the Hogans Creek area shut down. All southbound lanes are blocked and two northbound inside lanes were blocked for hours.
The crash is under investigation, FHP said.
