JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The 12-year-old girl who was shot during a birthday sleepover in April has died, a family friend tells Action News Jax.
Rayma Eunice has been on life support ever since she was shot in the head at a home on Willow Branch Avenue in the Lackawanna neighborhood on April 29.
Witnesses say an 11-year-old boy fired the gun he allegedly found inside an abandoned home.

Family members told Action News Jax earlier this month they hoped Rayma would pull through.
“The only thing we're hoping right now is for RaMya to pull through, hopefully, but God is able so we leave it in His hands and we'll go from there,” RaMya’s great-aunt Harriet McNeal said earlier this month.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has not confirmed whether anyone will be charged with a crime.
