Officers are investigating after they found a man with several gunshot wounds laying in the parking lot of a Jacksonville hotel.
Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said officers were called to Hawthorn Suites at 8737 Baymeadows Road at approximately 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Hotel guests told Action News Jax they heard at least three gunshots.
Police found the man with multiple gunshot wounds laying in a parking lot.

He was taken to UF Health Jacksonville with life-threatening injuries, officers said.
Officers said they do not have any suspect information at this time.

Action News Jax reporter Russell Colburn is looking into past violent crimes at the hotel.
In October 2014, one woman was killed and another was hurt in a stabbing at the hotel.
Police said Chad Hurst brutally attacked the women after meeting them on Backpage.com.
