JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Officers are searching for a shooter after a 32-year-old father of three was killed in Jacksonville early Monday morning.
Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said Chauncy McNair was found around 2:30 a.m. lying in the middle of Lynton Street.
Officers said he was shot several times, and was taken to a hospital where he died.
McNair’s family told Action News Jax he was a father of three young children.
Family said he was driving home from a club in his car. His body was found lying next to it.
Investigators searched for evidence for hours. The car was riddled with bullet holes and at least 16 evidence markers surrounded it.
“I just pray all of this stops, I pray that all of it stops,” Wanda Williams, a neighbor, said.
The investigation is ongoing.
