Lake City internet casino employees shot during robbery

For the second time this year, an internet casino in Columbia County has been robbed at gunpoint.

The Lake City Police Department said that the Treasure Island Internet Gaming Cafe was robbed around 1:35 a.m. on Friday.

The police said that two employees of the internet cafe were shot shortly after two males entered the business and ordered everyone on the ground.

During the robbery, the suspects forced employees to collect money from customers.

Officers gave first aid to the victims, but both had to be flown to UF Health in Gainesville.

Their condition is unknown, police said. The suspects are at large, police said.

The police said that this is the latest in a string of robberies at similar businesses throughout Columbia County
