Man admitted to stabbing pregnant Jacksonville woman, report says

An arrest report says a man admitted to police that he stabbed a woman who was five months pregnant after an argument in Jacksonville on Saturday.

Officers were called to West 21st Street Saturday evening after reports of a stabbing.

A man frantically waved down an officer and told him that 29-year-old D'Anna Thorn had been stabbed, the arrest report says.

Armanuel Cummings, 38, was standing in the driveway.

The arrest report says an officer asked who stabbed Thorn and Cummings uttered, "I did."

Thorn, who was five months pregnant, was taken to the hospital. She and her unborn baby died from her injuries.

Witnesses told officers that Cummings kicked Thorn out after they two got into an argument.

Thorn tried to climb back into the home through a window, witnesses said.

Cummings then stabbed her several times.

Cummings has been charged with murder.
