A man died in a Jacksonville Walmart parking lot Sunday morning following a shooting.
Jacksonville police said the shooting happened just before 3 a.m. near the Philips Highway and University Boulevard intersection.
Two people were shot in separate vehicles. Police said two cars left that scene to call 911.
One of the drivers, identified as 21-year-old Corey R. Spann, went to a Walmart off of Philips Highway, where he reportedly died.
The other car went to the Shell gas station on Atlantic Boulevard near I-95. That person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Both of the victims are men in their 20s, police reported.
Police are not releasing the other victim's name until his next of kin has been notified.
Northbound lanes of Philips Highway were temporarily closed during the investigation.
Police were not able to say at the time whether the two men shot each other or if someone drove by to shoot them.
