A man who shot in the back in the Moncrief area Sunday has died, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said on Wednesday.
The shooting happened in the 4600 block of Flynn Avenue where Kenard Hendley, 22, was shot in the backyard between two buildings.
Hendley was in serious condition and had been taken to the hospital.
Jacksonville police said the shooting was most likely not a drive-by situation.
