JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Three homes were targeted and families terrorized in just a matter of minutes, all in the same Murray Hill neighborhood.
Police say 20-year old Bryant McLemore broke into several homes at night and stood over homeowners while they slept, holding a knife.
Police say McLemore attacked two of those homeowners and tried to break into a third home.
“Why would you just pick my house to come to?” said Yvonne Ransom. “He was coming through, and my husband said ‘What are you doing here in my yard?' He didn’t say anything, but he did put his hand up so you can see the knife he was carrying."

Ransom tells Action News Jax, she wasn’t alone. JSO says McLemore targeted two other homes on Gilmore Street and Dellwood Avenue, all in the Murray Hill neighborhood.
The police report said in one of the cases, the victim was asleep in bed and woke up to the suspect standing over him with a knife to his chest. The victim told police McLemore said, "I’m here to save you and your dog. This time I’ll spare you."
“This guy is very bold, very brazen,” said Action News Jax Crime and Safety Expert Ken Jeffferson.
Jefferson believes the suspect may have targeted the homes.
“Normally, they don’t break into someone’s home if they know someone there, if they haven’t watched them. He may have checked them out, days prior or hours prior, to see if this is a good home for him to hit,” said Jefferson.
