Missing grandmother case being investigated as homicide

A search for a missing woman is being investigated as a homicide, a source told Action News Jax.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has been searching for Kerry Jones, 46, who hasn’t been seen since Feb 7. Jones’ car was found in the parking lot of her job on Feb. 9, on San Jose Boulevard.

Jones is legally deaf and wears hearing aids, police said. She can talk and communicate.

Jones’ boyfriend, 52-year-old Nick Kelly, was the last person to see her, according to police.

Kelly hasn’t been listed as a suspect in the disappearance.
