Deputies said it is believed the students became ill because of a catered lunch they ate at the science fair.

Fire rescue said the initial thought was a possible hazardous material but that has been eliminated.

Officials believe barbecue pork sandwiches made the children and adults sick.

The event was being held in the FGC gym. Action News Jax is working to learn more about the situation. Watch CBS47 at 6 for the latest information.
