A local mom accused of killing her own mother and running away with her child is back in Duval County.
Action News Jax has reported the case of Marla D’Andrea since before her capture at Orlando international airport Friday after a state-wide search with her son.
Over the weekend a judge in Orange County denied her bail.
D’Andrea made her first appearance in a Duval County court Tuesday morning where a judge quickly made the same decision of no bond for the local mother and murder suspect.
The victim in the case is Marla’s mother 67-year-old Barbara D’Andrea.
“She enjoys a presumption of innocence. It’s a family issue and there is more dynamic to this case for the family relationships you now know,” said D’Andrea’s attorney Randy Deep. “Just because she was in a place at a time doesn’t mean she’s guilty of anything.”
Deep says his client will maintain her innocence when asked if she's guilty or not.
