The shooting happened several hours after the Jacksonville Beach Fourth of July fireworks show.

Several people told Action News Jax that they heard what they believed were gunshots but thought they might be fireworks.

Exclusive video from a witness shows police collecting evidence on 1st Street North near the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel.

Sky Action News Jax captured video of investigators gathering evidence in the area more than 11 hours after she shooting.

Jacksonville Beach police are asking for anyone with information about the shooting to call (904) 270-1675.

“Right when I was leaving work I heard some things going on, I thought it was fireworks I went inside, I clocked out, and right when I clocked out I saw all these cops coming by and I thought 'Well, that’s kind of strange,'” said witness Shaun Pratt. “It is kind of scary to know that this is going on in your neighborhood. You’re out here to have a nice good 4th of July."
