It has been 4 months since three young adults were killed in a hit-and-run crash in Oceanway.
"If I make it through a whole day without crying I'm proud of myself," said Jennifer Carlisle.
She lost her son 24-year-old Curtis Carlisle in a hit-and-run crash on March 6.
His girlfriend Allison Bushey and best friend Kyle Cassani were in Cassani's BMW when it was hit on Duval Station Road.
All of them were killed when the car hit a tree and burst into flames. Carlisle and Cassani both left behind small children.
"To know that someone thought so little of my child something that is the most precious thing in the world to me," Carlisle said. "That they just drove off and left my son to burn in a car is very disturbing."
According to witnesses and surveillance video that police have not yet released, the driver was in a silver Ford Fusion that briefly stopped after the crash and then left.
Since the crash, family members have been pleading with the public to help generate leads that could track down the driver of the 2013 to 2016 Fusion.
"I try to think of things all the time that I can do to bring this person out of the darkness," Carlisle said.
Carlisle said she has passed out hundreds of flyers, posts regularly on social media and has a billboard at the crash site.
Police said the car was a titanium edition with tinted windows, fog lights and dual exhaust. it did not have a moon roof, according to officials.
Carlisle said she can't help but be on the lookout everywhere she goes hoping to catch a glimpse of something that could help police.
"I cannot imagine a day when I just say, 'Oh well I guess that person is not ever going to be found,'" she said.
Crime Stoppers said they have received 41 tips since the crash. The most recent came in June 20.
Carlisle said the detective working on the case told her this is unusual because the tips have picked up overtime.
"He said as the time is going on people are now calling in and being very specific," said Carlisle.
