Person injured in apartment fire near St. Augustine Amphitheater

St. Johns County Fire and Rescue along with the St. Augustine Fire Department are on the scene of a fire at the Dunes apartments in the 1500 block of A1A South.

Officials said crews responded to a report of a fire in one of the apartment units and found one person injured.

The patient was treated by paramedics and was transported by air amblulance to Orange Park Medical Center in serious condition, according to officials.

SJCFR said it will handle the investigation alongside the State Fire Marshal.
