FERNANDINA, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol reported an accident that left one person with life-threatening injuries and another with serious injuries after a pickup truck collided with a tree and caught fire Monday evening.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at around 6:45 p.m., a pickup truck was traveling eastbound on Pogy Place, near N 14th Street, when it veered off the roadway and collided with a tree.
