The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is searching for the driver of a white Honda Civic who crashed into a family's minivan and took off.
That van flipped with four people inside, including a baby. The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Belfort Road and J. Turner Butler Boulevard on Jacksonville's Southside.
Action News Jax was on scene as JSO’s helicopter was in the sky circling the area looking for the driver involved in this hit and run.
About five officers and a trooper were on scene as well as two fire engines and a portion of Belfort Road was blocked as officer worked to clear the scene.
We also watched as a woman left the scene in an ambulance. Before she left, she was walking and talking to officers and witnesses say everyone appeared to be OK.
