Police searching for 4 missing Georgia kids who could be in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A mother is desperate to find her four children, who she says were taken from her.

The children's mother, Lakeisha Brown, said they spent the summer with their father and were supposed to be returned on August 6 in Columbus, Ga.

Police have now issued an alert for the kids and an arrest warrant for their dad. Brown tells Action News Jax she’s called and texted the father but that hasn’t worked and she believes they’re now in the Jacksonville area because he has ties to the area and had previously brought the children here for a visit this summer.

The four kids police are looking for are Jakori, Jarvis, Kaliyah and Justin. The children ages range from 5 to 9 years old.

The children are believed to be with their father, 32-year-old Jarvis Brown. Action News Jax is told Jarvis Brown is about 6’4” and weighs around 300 pounds. He is possibly traveling in a new model white Ford Van. He has ties to Jacksonville but police say could also be in Palm Beach County, Florida or Georgia. Friday evening, the children’s mother told Action News Jax she has one message for their father.

“Please just bring my kids back. I love them and I have not talked them ever since, well three weeks ago and I just want my kids back,” said Lakeisha Brown.

Lakeisha Brown also had a message for her children and the community.

“Mommy loves you and she will find you. Please anybody if you have seen my kids or their father, please give Columbus PD a call,” said Lakeisha Brown.

Columbus PD has issued 4 warrants for Brown’s arrest for interstate interference with custody. If you have any information, you’re asked to contact police.
