Jacksonville police identify, capture shirtless robbery suspect

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville police have in identified and captured a suspect in connection with armed robberies.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said they are not releasing the man's identity at this time. Police said the man is connected with three armed robberies that took place Thursday morning.

The robberies were reported at the following convenience stores:

  • 2:16 a.m. Kangaroo located at 9901 New Kings Rd
  • 4:43 a.m. Gate located located at 10980 New Kings Rd
  • 6:30 a.m. Speedway Gas Station located at 8346 Normandy Blvd

Officers said the man was driving a dark colored Ford truck with tool boxes on both sides of the truck bed. The front bumper is missing and there is damage on the right front side.
