Suspect in robbery at CVS on County Road 210 arrested

A man accused of robbing a CVS in St. Johns County was arrested in North Carolina, deputies said.

Alan Donald Pegram, 27, was arrested Thursday. Police tried to pull him over and he led officers on a pursuit, deputies said.

He was eventually stopped and taken into custody.

Pegram is accused of robbing the CVS on County Road 210 in St Johns County Tuesday.

He allegedly was a suspect of interest in a car theft in North Carolina before the robbery.

The Dodge truck he's accused of stealing was photographed at the scene of the robbery Tuesday.

The same CVS was robbed in May 2016 by a man who demanded prescription drugs.

The CVS robbery was the second robbery in northwest St. Johns County on Tuesday.

SJSO updated their Facebook page later Tuesday morning with a picture and description of the vehicle used in the robbery that was captured on surveillance video.

SJSO said the suspect walked into the CVS store and handed an employee a note demanding money.

The employee gave the suspect an unknown amount of money and drove away in the black pick-up pictured in the surveillance video.

SJSO said they are searching for a male wearing a dark colored shirt, dark jeans, white tennis shoes, and light colored sunglasses.
