A man was bitten by a shark while surfing Hurricane Maria's waves at Hanna Park Monday, according to social media posts.
Our area was seeing waves up to 7 feet tall as Hurricane Maria moved northward hundreds of miles off our coast.
"I guess I'm gonna miss the rest of this hurricane swell," Justin White wrote on Instagram.
Photos appear to show at least a dozen stitches.
