Report: Man threatens St. Johns County deputy at Gator's Dockside

David Crnkovich

WEIRD FLORIDA: More strange stories from the Sunshine State

A man was taken to the St. Johns County Jail after he reportedly shoved employees and patrons of the Gator's Dockside restaurant near World Golf Village.

David Crnkovich, 28, was charged with two counts of battery and resisting arrest in the incident on Aug. 7 at the restuarant.

According to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, Crnkovich was drinking at Gator's when the manager asked him to "call it a night."

Crnkovich became irate, the report said, and pushed the manager and a patron.

When police arrived, Crnkovich resisted the officer trying to arrest him and told him "You better watch your back. I am going to come and beat your ass and come after your family."

A strong odor of alcohol was observed emitting from Crnkovich, police noted.

Bail for Crnkovich was set at $3,500.
