JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man was shocked while working on a cherry picker in Riverside.
A witness said the cherry picker hit a power line. JEA told Action News Jax they're unsure of the man's condition, but said he was painting when it happened.
The incident happened in the 2100 block of McCoy Creek Boulevard, which is a couple blocks east of Stockton Street. The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department and Occupational Safety and Health Administration is on scene.
OSHA said utility lines can usually run 15,000 volts. OSHA officials also said there was a similar report Wednesday of a worker injured in Tallahassee. That worker survived, but lost limbs.
