JACKSONVILLE, Fla — The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department and the Florida Highway Patrol both confirmed a semi truck fire on I-295 south exit ramp to Main Street.

JFRD crews worked to extinguish the flames and get the driver to safety.

The Hazmat team was requested and the driver of the truck has been transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
