7:50 p.m. As of now, only two reports of damage. One tree hit a house in Columbia County, and a tree is down in Camden County near I-95.

7:33 p.m. The tornado warning for St. Johns County has been extended to 8 p.m.

7:15 p.m. No schools in Northeast Florida have said whether there will be school Monday. Several in Georgia are closed.

7:07 p.m. Tornado warning for St. Johns, Clay and Putnam County until 7:30 p.m.

6:55 p.m. Tornado warning for Glynn County until 7:30 p.m.

6:50 p.m.: A person has been injured on Proctor Glen Road in Columbia County. Fire/Rescue got 911 call from resident who said tree fell and split their home and a person was stuck inside. Crews responded; tree struck patient, but did not fall on her. She has been transported for further evaluation. It is unknown how serious her injuries were.

6:40 p.m.: Tornado warning in Putnam County until 7:30 p.m.

6:35 p.m. Tornado warning in Camden and Glynn County

6:30 p.m. Severe thunderstorm warning for St. Johns County until 7:15 p.m.

6:24 p.m. Tornado watch for Bradford County until 8 p.m.

6:16 p.m.

Tornado warning for Pierce, Charlton, Camden, Glynn County until 6:45 p.m.

6:15 p.m. Clinch County schools will be closed Monday.

6:08 p.m.

The severe thunderstorm warning for Charlton County until 7:30 p.m.

6 p.m. The severe thunderstorm warning now includes Nassau County until 6:30 p.m.

5:56 p.m. A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for Brantley, Charlton, Camden, Glynn and Ware County until 6:30 p.m.

5:45 p.m. Brantley County schools will be closed Monday.

5:40 p.m Bands of storms are now entering Columbia County. Radar

5:33 p.m. A tornado warning is now in effect for Ware and Pierce County until 6 p.m.

5:20 p.m. A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for Pierce and Brantley County until 5:45 p.m.

5 p.m. Ware County schools will be closed Monday.

A tornado watch is in effect for Baker, Bradford, Clay, Columbia, Duval, Nassau and Union counties in Northeast Florida and Brantley, Camden, and Glynn counties in Southeast Georgia until 8 p.m.

The National Weather Service is labeling the tornado watch a "Particularly Dangerous Situation Tornado Watch," which is the first time such a watch has been issued for the Jacksonville area.

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal has declared a state of emergency in seven south Georgia counties, including Atkinson, Berrien, Brooks, Colquitt, Cook, Lowndes and Thomas.

TORNADO WARNING in effect for Brantley, Pierce and Ware counties until 12:30 p.m.

Thunderstorms will begin to develop again late in the morning and early afternoon in the Suwannee River Valley. First Alert Meteorologist Erin Clanahan is watching for isolated storms out ahead of main line expected later Sunday afternoon.

Most of the intense storms will be between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., said Clanahan.

Be prepared for fast-changing conditions.

A similar storm has already caused multiple deaths in Mississippi. State emergency management officials said Sunday morning 11 people died and 23 were injured after severe weather struck central Georgia.

  • Tree damage has been confirmed Sunday morning near Homerville, Georgia.
