South Kitchen and Spirits to fill big void in Nocatee

PONTE VEDRA, Fla. — South Kitchen and Spirits will be the first full-service eatery to set up shop in the Nocatee Town Center.

The outer shell of the new restaurant is now visible from Crosswater Parkway. Nocatee homeowner Ruth Plishka couldn’t be happier with the view.

“Well first, we said ‘finally’,” Plishka said.

South Kitchen and Spirits, which already has an Avondale location on Park Street, will fill a big void as the number one ask from Nocatee homeowners is more restaurants.

"We don't want to go that far all the time," Plishka said.

Skinner Bros. Realty, which is developing much of the east side of Crosswater Parkway, said it’s working on filling two more land parcels.

Heartland Dental is already built out and a strip of businesses that includes M Shack have been operating for months now.

Skinner Bros. Realty said there are 16,000 to 17,000 potential customers up for grabs that will likely frequent South Kitchen and Spirits.

More retail, a possible gym or a medical office is also on the list of businesses Skinner Bros. Realty hopes to attract.

Across the street, another developer is working on bringing in more stores, too.

“Maybe some retails stores that also you don't have to drive far to go visit. We need some more retail,” Plishka said.

Skinner Bros. Reality said it expects the construction on the new restaurant to be finished around summer and the grand opening later this year.
