Three students are being questioned after police received a tip that students were in possession of a weapon at a Jacksonville school.
Westview K-8 School officials said a student came forward saying that some students might have a gun. School administrators and Duval County School Police investigated the tip by performing a search.

Multiple students were found to have a single firearm and a magazine with rounds, according to an official statement from the school's principal, Claire St. Amand.
Amand said the items were confiscated and the students are pending arrest. The students face criminal charges and discipline according to the Student Code of Conduct.
No students or staff were harmed or threatened during the incident, Amand said.
In the statement, Amand advised parents to talk about the consequences of bringing weapons on campus.
