JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A tip led police to a man who they say stole a media trailer and equipment worth $150,000 last week.
A community member called police about a truck matching the description of the white truck involved in the theft of a PRI trailer from Kings Avenue on Thursday.
When police visited the location in the 1800 block of Spearing Street, they found the truck in a driveway, and the media trailer in a fenced lot next door.
Witnesses at the house were shown surveillance images from the theft and identified the suspect as 33-year-old Guy "Charlie" George.
The media trailer was stripped and chopped into pieces, according to police.
Police searched the house and found George asleep in the back of the home. He was arrested Monday and charged with grand theft over $100,000.
