UPS jobs in Jacksonville: UPS hiring nearly 2,000 workers

UPS is looking to hire nearly 2,000 workers in Jacksonville ahead of the holiday season.

The company is hiring for positions at its Jacksonville Hub at 4420 Imeson Rd. and its new permanent River City facility at 12400 Presidents Court.

JOBS: Target to up hourly base pay to $15 by end of 2020

The facility is hiring for a mix of permanent and seasonal positions mostly compromised of package handlers. Positions begin Nov. 1.

Positions at both facilities include: 

•    1,575 package handlers
•    198 driver-helpers
•    133 part-time supervisors

Part-time supervisor jobs start at $14.85 per hour and pay for package handlers and driver-helpers starts at $10.20 per hour.

Employees hired in 2017 will be eligible for a retention bonus starting at $100 per week effective Oct. 1, the company said.

The company offers healthcare and retirement benefits for permanent employees including part-time workers.

At many locations, part-time employees in college are eligible to receive up to $25,000 in tuition assistance through the company’s Earn and Learn program.
