Viewers respond to Jacksonville worker's claims about Amazon: 'You work for your pay'

Our investigation into work conditions at the local Amazon Fulfillment Center has been the most- talked about news story on the Action News Jax Facebook page this month.

An employee described standing for hours, unable to take a break.

"Literally we were standing there, hurting, nobody cared," said the employee, who we are not naming.

Since the investigation aired Monday, we received several comments from viewers on all of our platforms. These are just a few.

Louis wrote:
"What a welcome to a business that has hired over 1,000 people in our community. Did you ever think that this person just does not want to work hard and they chose to apply during the busiest time of the year for this type of business?"

Linda wrote:
"You work for your pay, not (to) spend time on (your) phone. You agree to work and they agree to pay you."

James said:
"You work inside a climate controlled building for a lot more than minimum wage. .... I personally am 47 years old with a not-so-healthy back or knees and I do not have a problem working within the guidelines set forth for my job description."
