Manatee stuck in Jacksonville-area storm drain released into wild

A manatee that was rescue from a Jacksonville storm drain in November has been released back into the wild.

The manatee was found stuck in the Ortega area on Nov. 30. The manatee was taken to SeaWorld in Orlando for rehabilitation.

The manatee, named Venezia, was released on Jan. 3 by SeaWorld officials at Blue Springs State Park.

Venezia was the first manatee of 2017 to be returned to the wild by the SeaWorld Orlando rescue team.
