Florida voters passed amendment 2 for medical marijuana and struck down amendment 1 for solar energy.

Amendment 3, a tax exemption for disabled first responders, and amendment 5, a property tax exemption for senior citizens, passed, AP reports.

County referendum No. 1, which allows slot machines in Duval County, passed with more than 54 percent support from voters.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R) was re-elected to the U.S. Senate in Florida. He beat Democrat Patrick Murphy by 6 percent of votes.

Former Jacksonville sheriff John Rutherford (R) won the race for Ander Crenshaw's seat in the 4th Congressional District of Florida.

Al Lawson (D) won the race for Corrine Brown's seat in Florida's 5th Congressional District. He beat Brown for the nomination in August.

Ted Yoho (R) has been elected to U.S. House, District 3 and Ron DeSantis (R) was elected to U.S. House, District 6, AP reports.
