Woman fakes pregnancy, kills pet chihuahua to fake miscarriage, officials say

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ala. — An Alabama woman is facing charges after police say she admitted to killing her husband’s chihuahua and used the blood to stage a miscarriage.

Johnny Parker said his wife, Anita Parker, fooled him for seven months. He thought she was expecting a baby boy.

"I guess she pushed her belly out all the time, because she looked like she was. And she sends me pictures of the ultrasounds," Johnny Parker told WAFF.

On Wednesday, Anita Parker called Johnny Parker and said she wasn’t feeling well. When he came back to his Lawrence County home, he found her cover in blood.

She told Johnny Parker she miscarried and flushed the stillborn baby down the toilet.

They called 911, and the hospital told him she has never been pregnant.

Then, when he came home, he started looking for his pet chihuahua and made a horrifying discovery. He found the dog dead in the garbage. He said Anita Parker cut the dog and used the blood to fake the miscarriage.

“It hurts like crap, man about my dog. I loved that dog, man,” said Johnny Parker.

Officials are also shocked by the case.

“I’ve been around a long time. I’ve never seen anything just this way. We’ve had some weird cases over the years but this is just the top of the line as far as weird,” said Lawrence County Sheriff Gene Mitchell.
