According to KIDY-TV, the Abilene Zoo announced in a Facebook post Monday that the unnamed female calf, born June 24 to mom Jamie, 11, has made her public debut.

“She can now be seen in the Giraffe Safari habitat,” read the post, which included a video of the 2-week-old exploring outside with her mother. “We will be increasing the herd members she interacts with little by little.”

The youngster, who weighs more than 180 pounds, is on display with Jamie and two other giraffes, Punk and Kito, for now, according to the Facebook post. Staffers eventually will introduce her to the rest of the nine herd members, KTAB-TV reported.

The new arrival, who was about 6 feet tall at birth, is Jamie’s third calf, the zoo said in a news release last month.
