Jacksonville Jaguars community service event celebrating Hispanic Heritage month

Jacksonville, FL. — To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month the Jacksonville Jaguars worked with the First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to recognize 10 local students from various schools across the United States.

These 10 local students have been awarded scholarships to help with their academic endeavors.

The Jaguars, First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the scholarship recipients partnered with Feeding Northeast Florida to create a food distribution event.

“I think it’s a great experience to help out and feed Jacksonville residents,” said scholarship recipient Nathanael Hernandez-Carias,

With the help of the Jaguars, FCHCC, and scholarship recipients teamed up to give back to more than 200 local families at a food give away here in the Arlington Area.

The Jaguars annually sponsor the First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce gala to recognize 10 exceptional Hispanic and Latino students with college scholarships.

Due to COVID-19, the gala had to be postponed this year.
