Coast Guard medevacs man from Carnival cruise ship to Jacksonville

The U.S. Coast Guard medevacked a man Saturday from a cruise ship off the St. Augustine coast.

The Coast Guard sector in Jacksonville received a call at 11:15 p.m. Friday night that a 52-year-old Carnival Pride cruise ship passenger was experiencing signs of shock.

A Coast Guard Air Station helicopter crew arrived at the ship at 1:40 a.m. and the man was taken to UF Health Shands Hospital in Jacksonville for treatment.
