Florida tries to figure out offense

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — For the better part of four seasons now, The Florida Gators offense has been a mess.

Three different offensive coordinators have tried to revive what has become one of the perennial worst in the SEC.

From Charlie Weis to Brent Pease to now Kurt Roper all have tried, all have failed.

This season is really no different for Florida as they ready for Saturday's game against archrival Georgia at Everbank Field, (CBS47 3:30pm). The Gators are 94th in the nation in passing the ball, 61st in rushing and 76th overall in points per game.

The team will look to true freshman Treon Harris to play quarterback in place of the ineffective Jeff Driskel.

Drisel on the season has completed just 53 percent of his passes with ten interceptions compared to only six touchdowns.

UF head coach Will Muschamp has maintained that Driskel will have “some kind of role” in Saturday’s game, but Harris will get the start.
