Wounded Warrior Project exec resigns for 'personal reasons'

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Another Wounded Warrior Project executive has resigned.

WWP confirmed Tuesday of the resignation of Adam Silva, its Chief Programs Officer.

"Adam Silva resigned for personal reasons. We thank him for his 8+ years of tireless service to Wounded Warrior Project and our mission to honor and empower Wounded Warriors."

Silva's resignation comes in the wake of CEO Steven Nardizzi and COO Al Giordano being fired in March in the wake of a CBS News investigation that alleged lavish spending by the charity.
