$2.2M settlement awarded to family of man who died in Clay County Jail

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — The family of a man who died in the Clay County Jail will get a $2.2 million settlement.

The payout goes to the estate of Daniel Linsinbigler Jr. The 19-year old died in the jail in March 2013.

The medical examiner ruled it homicide by asphyxia but the State Attorney's Office found no criminal wrongdoing.

The terms of the agreement include no admission of guilt and forbid anyone from speaking to the media.
