4-year-old, adult with developmental disabilities were in Putnam home where man, woman found dead

The Putnam County Sheriff's Office has identified the man and woman who were found dead in a home on Silver Lake Drive on Thursday morning.

Deputies said there were "no signs of violence or physical assault" on the bodies of 31-year-old Nicole Moats and 60-year-old James Dykes Sr.

There were no signs of forced entry into the home. Moats and Dykes "were located together in a separate and isolated portion of the residence" and had been dead for at least 24 hours, PCSO said.

In addition to a four-year-old child, an adult with developmental disabilities were found in the home unharmed. The child was placed in the custody of their paternal grandfather.

Deputies said it will take several months to determine a cause of death for Moats and Dykes, as the medical examiner is waiting on toxicology results.
