Bicyclist shot overnight on Jacksonville's Westside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville man is recovering this morning after he was hit by a bullet while riding his bicycle along McDuff Avenue on the Westside.

The man managed to pedal his bike away from the area, and found a good Samaritan to call 911.

The victim is receiving treatment at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

There were no witnesses to the shooting, said the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

The victim was unable to give a good description of the two men who ran away after he was shot.

Police canvassed the area, but were unable to find the suspects.
