Boil water notice issued for parts of Lake City

A broken water main has forced Lake City officials to issue a boil water advisory.

The break occurred on Brookside Drive off Highway 90. A pipe fracture caused water pressure to drop. The City Manager said that those who are unsure if their area has been affected to boil water as a precaution.

Those who experienced some water loss do not need to boil their water. Water should be boiled for two minutes before use, city manager said.

Officials said the advisory impacts 3,000 customers.
