Busy hurricane season brings 119 reports of tornadoes

The 2017 Atlantic hurricane Season has been an active one.

With five U.S. landfalls this year, we have seen an increased number of tropical tornadoes.

This season so far has brought 119 reports of tornadoes from tropical cyclones that made landfall in the U.S. This is the fourth most on record dating since 1995.

Hurricane Harvey sits at the top of the list with 57 tornadoes.

A little closer to home, Hurricane Irma produced 25 tornadoes. That number includes the 5 tornadoes for the Northeast Florida.

The state of Florida has been impacted by 26 tropical tornadoes this season. Georgia has seen none.

The 2017 Atlantic hurricane season ends on Nov. 30.
