Car swallowed by hole after water main break

A car fell into a hole off Arching Branch Circle early Friday morning.
Jacksonville Electric Authority says there was a water main break, and the water pouring from the pipe washed out the dirt underneath the concrete, causing the hole.

DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. — Neighbors say there was a ton of commotion outside their windows Friday morning.

"I went to go get my breakfast out of the refrigerator and saw cop lights outside and checked outside, and it looked like a river was flowing down our driveway," said Preston Loveday.

JEA says at one point, 100 people in the neighborhood were without water.
Loveday says by the time he got back home after noon, it was back on.
Action News Jax crews went door to door trying to find out who owned the car.
Neighbors say they believe it is someone’s car who lives in the complex, but they didn’t know their name.
JEA says they are investigating what caused the break in the first place.
