Comcast outages hit Westside Jacksonville

Areas of Westside Jacksonville are experiencing Comcast cable and internet outages Saturday evening.

A Comcast representative said a road construction crew didn’t see marked cable lines and cut them.

Once lines are cut then a fiber crew has to replace a section of the line, which is not an easy fix, the representative said.

Customers in Orange Park, Fleming Island and Westside Jacksonville are affected by the outage.

Comcast crews have been working restore service as soon as possible.
