Fire rescue in St. Johns County reported to a deadly crash Tuesday on U.S. 1, just south of Las Calinas Boulevard.
A red Honda SUV had been driving northbound when it lost control, went through the median and hit a silver Sedan that was southbound. A white SUV then hit the sedan. The collision killed the sedan driver, a man in his 50s. The driver of the red SUV was taken to the hospital.
The accident occured only 24 hours after a mother and her 4-year-old child were killed in a single-car accident on I-95 at World Golf Village.
Southbound lanes are open, but St. Johns firefighters said to avoid the area if possible. There will be delays on County Road 210, thye said.
