FHP closed all eastbound lanes as officials investigated. The lanes reopened at about 2:45 a.m. Wednesday.
Troopers said Branham's car left the westbound lanes of I-10, crossed the median and into the eastbound lanes. Branham collided with a pickup truck that was hauling a trailer. The Civic continued after the crash and collided with a tractor-trailer that was towing a car hauler.
The 61-year-old driver of the pickup truck, Thomas Kelly, is in serious condition at UF Health Jacksonville. The tractor-trailer driver was not hurt.
Branham was not wearing a seat belt, according to FHP. She died at the scene.
Charges are pending.
