Cops have heroes, too. That's what the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5-30 said about the employees of Partridge Well Drilling Company.
On March 9, a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office undercover detective was shot three times while making a traffic stop on Collins Road. The undercover narcotics detective's will not be released to protect his identity and family, JSO said.
FOP said "no fewer than 11 employees" of Partridge Well Drilling Company rushed out to help the officer after he was shot.
In appreciation for helping the undercover officer, FOP Lodge 5-30 President Steve Zona presented the business with a "Thin Blue Line" painting on Monday.
Kevin Rojas, 19, is charged with attempted murder in the shooting of the officer. He pleaded not guilty and is expected back in court on April 27.
